Rev. Stephanie Lutz Allen is a dynamic and gifted minister who has
served Presbyterian churches for 17 years. She has gained a
depth of knowledge and experience by working in churches from urban
snow-bound Minnesota, to nearby suburban Gilroy, Garlic Capital of
the World! Her cheerful, friendly disposition and strong work ethic
have enabled her to build lasting friendships that have withstood
the test of time and distance.
Stephanie’s academic achievements include a B.A. in
Communications and Religious Studies from UC Santa Barbara, a
M.S. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Jose
State University, and a Master of Divinity from Fuller
Seminary, CA. She is currently finishing her Doctorate of
Ministry in Congregational Leadership for Mission from Luther
Seminary, and is not attached to any church in a pastoral
capacity. She consults with churches and congregations across the
country, helping them discover their strengths and recognize their
calling from God. Stephanie is married and lives in Sunnyvale with
her husband, two teenage kids, two dogs and a cat.
Stephanie Lutz Allen will serve 30 hours a week at Immanuel Church
in the capacity of Interim Pastor, and minister to us as we begin
our search for a new, permanent pastor. In her words, she has
studied leadership and change, and she is fascinated by how God has
created the church to live as a sign and witness of His kingdom in
the world.
As we commence our Mission Study here at Immanuel, we will indeed be
blessed by her talents and expertise in church consultancy, and her
passion to help congregations identify their needs. Many of you
have already had the privilege of meeting Stephanie and hearing her
preach on several occasions over the last few years. She also has a
special connection to Immanuel, as her mother, Mary Jane Lutz, is a
former member of our congregation. |

Melia and husband Micah are blessed with two children, Lily and
Silas. Melia is currently attending Bethany University,
finishing her B.A. in Music in 2009/2010. In addition to leading in worship, Melia
also writes and shares her original songs locally at various venues
such as coffee shops, restaurants, celebrate recovery ministries,

Nancy grew up in Santa Clara. She has attended IPC since she was 3
years old and has been Office Manager since April of 2006. She was
an administrative assistant for 4 years until she became a
stay-at-home mom after her second child was born. She opened a day care business in order to stay home with her
family. She now has five children. She has directed Vacation Bible
School, been the secretary of the PTA and the secretary of a
neighborhood pool board. She enjoys scrap booking and quilting and
meeting with friends over a great cup of coffee. |
